Was lucky enough to spend some time in the Lane Cove National Park exploring.
I stayed at the Lane Cove Holiday Park which adjoins the national park. It is 14km or so from Sydney which made it a brilliant temporary base for work.
The Lane Cove National Park is 15km north of the CBD. The Metro train and the motorway make it a doddle to get around.
In the 1930s it was a hive of activity for Sydneysiders.
Lane Cove was part of the Kuring-gai nation's area of management. There are many recorded sites of significance in Lane Cove.
Colloquially known as the Coathanger.
Impressive to walk across. The scale of it... Its form... The engineering... The view... The coming together of visionaries that created something for Australia's long term future is mind bogglingly serendipitous.
